Hi, I'm Shannon. I LOVE being curious about life and am constantly seeking to deepen my understanding of myself and the world around me. I have dedicated my life to the study of movement and exploring the mind body connection. I spent the first part of my life as a classical dancer, earning a Masters Degree in Dance Performance from Florida State University. As I matured in both my physical body and my spiritual practice, I began to pursue yoga as a healing modality and immediately recognized the value of yogic philosophy in my life. Through yoga, I have learned more about myself than I could ever have imagined. I have learned to be a witness to myself, and to move with intention and clarity in both a compassionate and powerful way. I bring my decades of dance training into each class, encouraging students to expand their potential and learn to embrace the space within.

About this Retreat

​As women, investing in our health and well-being is not something we tend to prioritize. We often put everyone else's needs before our own.
​
I am seeking to rewrite that narrative for us.
Join me on this 3-day women's retreat to revive yourself and spend time devoted to self-care, nourishment of your body and soul, and the deep relaxation you desperately deserve. Through the ancient practices of yoga, breath-work, and meditation, we will reset our nervous systems and renew our bodies, as we simultaneously step away from our roles as mothers, wives, and caretakers of others. Taking precious time to care for ourselves.

During this retreat you will participate in 6 invigorating yoga classes with hands on instruction to help deepen your current yoga practice. This retreat is for all levels of experience. After our time together, yoga will become more than a practice of asana (poses and shapes). It will become a sacred toolkit that offers the wisdom, structure, and support to navigate our challenging lives with grace and resilience.
During our time together we will also work with different breath-work techniques that you will be able to take home with you to incorporate into your daily lives. Our breath is our greatest gift and something we so often ignore. You will learn valuable tools to help make each day of your life a little less stressful and a lot more beautiful.

This retreat will also focus on aging gracefully with the utmost love for ourselves as we embrace the changes our bodies are going through. Developing flexibility, muscular toning and strength, and better balance are highly important for women of all ages, and particularly for those of us entering menopause and perimenopause. We must begin now to commit to the practices that will help us not only live longer, but better and happier and with more mobility as we age. The power is in our hands and it can become the most wonderful and exciting journey if welcome it!

We can not change the past and we can't predict the future, but we can take little actions everyday to live in peace, to find gratitude and contentment for what we have been given, and to love ourselves and those around us with our whole hearts.

3 night stay in one of the guest rooms or suites at the Inn at Whitewing Farm. This elegant and charming bed and breakfast is hidden on a country road, quietly nestled in the historic Brandywine Valley, offering a serene and peaceful setting for our retreat experience.​

6 thoughtfully crafted yoga classes, uniquely created by Shannon, designed to inspire and deepen your practice.

6 exquisite meals served fresh daily and prepared by a 5 star chef with local ingredients to nourish your body. Each meal is tailored to support your wellness journey throughout the retreat. Also included is a coffee and tea bar with snacks available throughout the day.​

Group sessions co-led by Shannon and her dear friend Maura Gaughan, certified menopause coach. These sessions will focus on women's health improving our brain and gut connection and our sleep patterns during the transitional times in our lives, bringing mindful and grace to every age of our lives.​

Free time each day to hike, visit local shops and restaurants, or stay onsite and enjoy the serene property and fresh air, and connect with fellow participants.​​​​

If you would like to eat all 3 dinners on your own, you can discount each occupancy price by $250 to save money and still experience the retreat. Breakfast would still be included.

About the Property
​The Inn at Whitewing Farm is a stunning bed and breakfast hidden on a country road, quietly nestled in the historic Brandywine Valley in West Chester, PA. The 1700's farmhouse, features 10 romantic newly renovated guest rooms and suites, breathtaking panoramic views and immaculately kept grounds.
Generously sized guest rooms and suites are separate from the main farmhouse. Suites include seasonal fireplaces and all have private bathrooms with marble floors, cozy towels, handmade pillows and luxurious bedding.
All meals, prepared daily by the in-house chef, feature homemade breads, gourmet desserts and creative main dishes made from the freshest and finest local ingredients.
